I have the bronze series concern so perhaps it is different, but it puts me in mind of the neck profile of the old Martins. Anyway, yes, Keli'i is a very respectable ukulele.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3358094970980665549.post-26279378926335569402012-05-16T09:22:15.114-05:002012-05-16T09:22:15.114-05:00Greetings from the mean streets of Pasadena! thank...Greetings from the mean streets of Pasadena! thanks for your review. You mentioned that you...Thanks for the reply GX.

You mentioned that you got a Kelii from MGM a while back, and that the action was too high. Do you think this is true for all Kelii ukes? I ask because I am between a Kelii and Honu tenor (both solid koa). I am upgrading from a Kala KA-S, which is a tad small for my liking (but still playable).

Thanks
-LonLonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16575539340977573256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3358094970980665549.post-29456721453997817402009-12-25T22:31:15.733-06:002009-12-25T22:31:15.733-06:00Lon,

I have not played a Honu traditional tenor before, so I can't comment on how good it is. But if the Honu deluxe concert I had is any indication, it should be a great uke as well. I think Kelii is a good bet though.GX9901https://www.blogger.com/profile/09149697275386260311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3358094970980665549.post-40885566922735328962009-12-24T11:48:02.847-06:002009-12-24T11:48:02.847-06:00nice review. if given a choice between this tenor...nice review. if given a choice between this tenor and a traditional honu tenor (i think both are priced similarly) which would you get or recommend? i do not have the luxury of trying either (being in ca), so i will have to get online. thanks. lonLonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3358094970980665549.post-85431953050537479682009-03-13T19:35:00.000-05:002009-03-13T19:35:00.000-05:00Thanks for the info on Kelii. I'm on vacation in Honolulu right now and am looking for an uke in the $300 range and was considering a Kelii model (I'm just a newbie, so a Kamaka might be a bit too big of an investment right now).

From your review, it sounds like a Kelii might be a good buy for the price. The mp3 you also provided is really great. Thanks!Shohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14417453769933293747noreply@blogger.com
